Commentary
The "day of the Lord," "the Lord's day," is the last day of the world.
The day that John wrote about in "The Revelation of Jesus Christ."
The day when Jesus returns.
The day of judgment.
The day of death.
The day of resurrection.
The end, when the things of the earth shall cease.
Genesis 8:22 KJV
[22] While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
The earth is now in the process of "NOT REMAINING," as seen in current events.
This means there will no longer be:
--- seedtime and harvest
--- cold and heat
--- summer and winter
--- day and night
because they shall have ceased.
Luke 12:49 KJV
[49] I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I if it be already kindled?
