God is worshipped in spirit and truth

Our worship of God should be in spirit and truth. Samuel said, the Lord has more delight in obedience than in burnt offerings and sacrifices. Jesus said we are to worship the Father in spirit and in truth.

1 Samuel 15:22 KJV
[22] And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

John 4:23-24 KJV
[23] But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. [24] God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Commentary

True worship of God is in giving thanks to God in the spirit of a sincere heart, giving all the praise and glory to God for the truth of what he has done and what he has promised to do.
