Commentary

God wants to "know" that a man loves him.

God created man in his own image with a free will to make choices.
God desires all men to choose to love him.
God will know that a man loves him, if that man will keep his commandments.
It is by the deeds of a man that God knows that man loves him.

John 14:15 KJV
[15] If ye love me, keep my commandments.

John 14:21 KJV
[21] He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

John 14:23 KJV
[23] Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

John 14:24 KJV
[24] He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
