Commentary
Baptism is a public confession of being a sinner and desiring to be a follower of Jesus.
The Holy Bible says that if we confess our sins, Jesus will forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Jesus furthered promised that if a person overcomes, he would not blot out is name from the book of life, and would confess his name before his Father and the angels in heaven.
