-- If you love me, keep my commandments --- John 14:15

-- the Comforter is the Holy Spirit --- John 14:26
-- if I do not go away the Comforter will not come --- John 16:7

[16] And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; [17] Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

John 14:26 KJV
[26] But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 16:7-8 KJV
[7] Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. [8] And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

THE HOLY BIBLE SAYS:

To receive the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, Jesus said to keep his commandments.

The Ten Commandments were written in stone with the finger of God.

In them it says the same thing Jesus said in John 14:15, to love him is to keep his commandments.

[4] Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: [5] Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; [6] And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Deuteronomy 5:8-10 KJV

Jesus ascended into heaven.

To those that show love to Jesus by keeping his commandments, he sends the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, to dwell with them and in them.

[23] Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

Those that have the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, dwelling with them and in them, are born again.
